Dave Blinston

Dave Blinston MIET TechIOSH. Dave has an extensive background in electrical engineering & has worked in the construction / engineering sectors since 1994. He is a time served Electrician by trade & an academically seasoned Member of the Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET) and a Technical Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (TechIOSH). He worked as the Head of Technical & Quality at the UK market leader for electrical safety compliance for 7 years where he became a specialist in the field of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671) & associated regulations & legislation. Dave is an experienced management system professional and is registered as a Lead Auditor with the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) & works for certification bodies auditing various organisations management systems. He is an expert in the development & implementation of management systems compliant with the accreditation level standards ISO 17020 (Inspection Bodies), ISO 17065 / ISO 17021 (Certification Bodies) & ISO 17025 (Laboratories) as well as quality (ISO 9001), health & safety (ISO 45001), environmental (ISO 14001), energy (ISO 50001), information security (ISO 27001), welding control (BS EN 1090 / ISO 3834-3 for CE Marking), general Factory Production Control systems and BAFE Schemes SP101 (Fire Extinguishers), SP203 (Fire Detection & Alarm Systems) & SP205 (Fire Risk Assessment). Dave has been a Senior Manager / Director since 2000 and has comprehensive experience of all elements of higher level business management including strategic planning, process management / improvement, change management, acquisitions / business integration & human resources. He provides mentoring services and board level support to various organisations as a Non-Executive Director. He has substantial experience of working closely with organisations such as Electrical Safety First, NHS Estates & UKAS to further develop & improve industry safe / best working standards. Dave has been responsible for developing & delivering various training courses & CPD accredited seminars.
